Last time Margie and I were in New Orleans we visited, as at any opportunity, Martin’s Wine Cellar. My search was for some high end CA Chardonnays. While there I was turned on to a Dove and Stone Chalk Hill Sonoma County red blend, 66% Petite Verdot and 34% Merlot. Wow! And for only $17. Best price I could find on the internet was about $24, with some priced much higher. I plan on asking for it as I visit our local wine shops. Ping us if you find it on the shelves.
After Martin’s, we had a fabulous dinner at Peche. We ordered the whole baked reddish. When it arrived we both commented we could never eat all of it. It was so delicious we ate the whole thing!
