Margie prefers to celebrate Valentine’s Day on any day BUT the 14th! So we made reservations on Monday the 13th for First Dibs at Iron. We arrived about 4:45 to ensure our orders were in by 5:15.
The first course was Frenched flat chicken wings and they were delicious! The second course of Creole seared Gulf catch turned out to be grouper and it was delicious. The third course was King cake bread pudding and it was a marvelous finish. Margie enjoyed the wine parings that included 2021 La Marenca Moscato d’Asti from Piedmont, 2020 Aleks Simcic Giocato Pinot Grigio from Primorska, Slovenia and a Henriques & Henriques Rainwater Madeira from Portugal, respectively. Boring Bob ordered a nice mid-range Chardonnay. But the evening with friends was a delight, the staff at Iron was most accommodating and Margie agreed to once again be my Valentine!
